Distance from Pulau Aur to Mersing is 38 nautical miles away, to the Pulau Tinggi is 25 nautical miles, to the Pulau Pemanggil is 12 nautical miles, to Pulau Sibu and Pulau Besar both are 35 nautical miles away, and to Pulau Tioman is 36 nautical miles .
Pulau Aur covers 2,072 acres (eight square miles) and consists of few villages (“kampung”). Kampung Teluk Berhala is the main village where the primary school, mosque, hall, clinic, police station and Marine Park office located.
