The island is one of a group of islands in the South China Sea is part of Sultan Iskandar Johor Marine Park.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This island is the main of the island where there are 3 small surrounding island of Dayang Island, Lang Island and Pinang Island. There are several villages on the island, such as Berhala (\u201cidol\u201d) Bay, Batu Kembar (twin stone), Bahai, Sebukang Bay, Meriam (\u201ccannon\u201d) Bay, Payang Bay, Tanjung Pandan, Bayu Musuh , Ba&#8217;ai Bay, Teluran, Palas, Tok Jong and Kabu Village.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Distance from Aur Island to the islands in the vicinity are: &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Tinggi Island \u2013 25 nautical miles;<\/li>\n<li>Pemanggil Island \u2013 nautical miles;<\/li>\n<li>Sibu Island \u2013 35 nautical miles;<\/li>\n<li>Besar Island \u2013 35 nautical miles; and<\/li>\n<li>Tioman Island \u2013 36 nautical miles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This island is one of the islands around the islands in Mersing which was gazetted as Marine Park in 1994 under the Penubuhan Taman Laut Malaysia (\u201cEstablishment of Marine Park Malaysia\u201d) and the Akta Perikanan (\u201cFisheries Act\u201d) 1985 (Amendment 1993). This island treasures unique and diverse marine including colorful fish and coral reefs. Among the fish species found here are barracuda, Manta Rays, whalesharks and Bumphead.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Most tourists do not know the rustic of this island even though it is already known among divers and deep sea anglers in Malaysia and in Singapore. Aur Island and surrounding islands have 18 popular dive sites. Between dives locations are Rayner Rocks, Lang Island, Pinnacle and Meriam Bay.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No ground vehicles on this island, no broadband lines, no high rise building except its school and Maxis tower.
